Africa Skills Learning plan

South Africa’s economy urgently needs more qualified artisans.

Do your plans after leaving school include empowering you with in-demand skills and equipping you with the option of gaining valuable work experience?

According to Elsie Harmse, managing director of the Africa Skills Group, the lack of skills among prospective workers is one reason for South Africa’s high unemployment, resulting in the unskilled job seeker having far fewer options than the skilled graduates.

David Maynier, the Western Cape minister of finance says skills are the key to the economy growing, businesses expanding and job creation. Africa Skills is a private college that offers SETA accredited programmes that target critical skills identified by the South African Government. These courses will help you find a job or start your own business with strong, official skills.

Africa Skills offers programmes and short courses in Business skills, Artisan training and development, and Hairdressing. We want people to do well and uplift their communities which is why we also offer bursaries. Registered learners are given a chance to go through apprenticeships and learnerships so that when they complete their course and get their certificate, they also have work experience.

Take charge of your future and equip yourself with the in-demand skills needed for your personal and South Africa’s economic growth. Registration for 2021 programmes at Africa Skills is open!
