A Millwright installs, maintains, and repairs stationary industrial machinery across various sectors, including government and state – owned enterprises. These industries heavily invest in electro – mechanical equipment and electronic controllers for optimal efficiency. To minimize costs from stoppages and breakdowns, consistent maintenance, repair, and installation services are necessary. This qualification equips learners with the skills needed to ensure industrial machinery operates efficiently, contributing to national artisan development goals

  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, replace components and assemble mechanical sub – assemblies and machines.
  • Perform fault – finding and repairs on mechanical sub – assemblies and machines and electrical and electronic circuits.
  • Dismantle, test, and reassemble electrical machinery.
  • Install and commission mechanical sub – assemblies and machines.
  • Test and verify electrical equipment and systems.
  • Design and modify electrical circuits.
